GIS for Oil & Gas Exhibit Floor Sells Out With Three Months to Show
Start
Aurora, Colo., June 19, 2008—With just over three months to conference start, the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) is very pleased to announce that the exhibit floor for its 2008 GIS for Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition has sold out. The event is set for Sept. 21-24, 2008, at the Marriott Westchase Hotel in Houston, Texas.
This is a new accomplishment for the association, as the show floor has never sold out this quickly. At this time last year, the floor was 56% percent sold and all booths were sold one month before the conference started Sept. 24-26, 2007.
With registration for the event opening just one week ago, the conference committee and staff are hopeful that this sellout is a sign of things to come for the growing conference, which consistently experiences record-breaking attendance every year. Attendees in 2008 can meet with a total of 70 exhibitors, take part in a program chock full of new geospatial solutions for oil and gas professionals, and network with top thought leaders in both the geospatial and oil and gas disciplines.
“What a fantastic start for the biggest and best GIS for Oil & Gas Conference yet,” said Cindi Salas, conference chair and manager, Geographic Information Services, at CenterPoint Energy. “This sellout proves that this is truly the one-stop shop for the latest in geospatial solutions and technology advancements.”
