A listserve is a wonderful communication
tool that offers GITA members the opportunity to
post suggestions or questions to a large
number of people at the same time. When
you submit a question or something that you want
to share in the listserve, your submission is distributed
to all of the other people on that
list.
To enhance communication between members,
GITA has created listserve options that enable members
to communicate with all GEOXchange members simultaneously.
Subscribers can post and respond to questions regarding
geospatial information technology-related issues
and receive association news and announcements.
The GEOXchange listserve is available to current
GITA members only.
Keep in mind that the GEOXchange listserve
reaches a large group of people engaged in an electronic
discussion. There may be some topics that don’t
pertain to you or your institution. If you would
like to suggest a topic for the listserver, please
contact Lisa Connor.
Sending A Message
To reply to messages
you receive from the listserve, be sure that the
send-to address appears as "list name"@lists3.surveyssay.com.
Avoid resending the
entire message to which you are responding by
cutting and pasting only the revelant parts into
your message.
Using the reply message
on your e-mail application will send your response
to the entire list. If you wish to reply directly
to a member, please forward the e-mail and copy
and paste his or her e-mail address into the "To"
line.
Please identify yourself
with a signature tag in all messages. Include
your name, company, location, phone number, and
e-mail address.

the archives without receiving daily mail.
Many e-mail providers
give you the option to filter messages based on

eliminate excess messages to the inbox. For more
