Who Are GITA Members?

GITA members are seasoned professionals, with 41% in management or executive positions, and 84% recommending or approving purchasing decisions. Forty-three percent have been in the geospatial industry for six years or more. Our members represent the electric, gas, oil and gas, telecom, water, local government, and public works industries.

Our members join to get updates on the latest technologies, obtain industry information, and maximize the ROI of their geospatial information system. GITA provides a forum where users and vendors can get together to share information, learn from each other, and advance the technology.

What Types of People Are in the GITA Database?

GITA's e-mail database includes 12,000-plus geospatial professionals—our own individual members plus thousands more. For more than 25 years, GIS professionals have turned to GITA for information and education. Our database includes conference, seminar, and webcast attendees; GITA regional chapter members; subscribers of industry magazines and forums; and individuals across the U.S. and around the world who have an interest in geospatial information.

In the near future, GITA will be sending out HTML-formatted e-mail messages to our database as a service to our corporate members. The fee for this service has yet to be determined. All corporate members will be notified when this service becomes available.
