The 2009 GIS for Oil & Gas Conference saw tremendous success, with an exhibit floor that sold out 5 months before the conference began and nearly 700 attendees!
A Respected Educational Forum
The conference features in-depth seminars, technical paper presentations, discussion forums, panel deliberations, and several networking events. A product and service exhibition will showcase companies with offerings that target the unique needs of the energy industry.
Two new subject matter topics—environmental issues and emergency response and planning—will join an established list of other topics, all of which examine the many ways in which GIS is making huge differences in improving organizations' ways of doing business.
This conference and exhibition will give attendees valuable insight into the potential of GIS as a tool providing instant access to information, increased efficiency, and improved decision-making abilities.
Sharing Experiences and Expertise
At the 19th Annual GIS for Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition, oil and gas company representatives and GIS experts will share their knowledge and experience in implementing GIS-related technology. Presentations will focus on practical applications of GIS in day-to-day operations, what the essential system components are, and how to use this information for cost-effective business solutions.
The conference is the only one of its kind—devoted exclusively to applications and technologies for the following upstream/downstream oil and gas segments:
- Exploration and Production
- Gathering Systems
- Public Awareness
- Environmental Systems
- Local Distribution Companies
- Land/Lease
- Pipeline
- Retail
- Refining
- Marketing
- One-call
