A $25 processing fee will be charged for any cancellation or substitution. Fifty percent of the fee will be charged for cancellations received after January 26, 2008, but before February 15, 2008. GITA cannot guarantee rates and availability at the convention hotels after February 1, 2008. After this date, the official GITA room blocks will be released and the hotels may charge significantly higher rates. Reservation requests must be sent directly to the GITA Housing Bureau through February 1, 2008. Do not send the housing form to GITA headquarters or individual conference hotels; it will delay processing your request. Room reservations must be guaranteed to a major credit card or check deposit. No cash, or money orders accepted. Frequently asked questions about the room block. Changes/Cancellations Cancellations or changes must be made through the GITA Housing Bureau via fax, mail, or e-mail to hotelres@visitseattle.org through February 1, 2008. After this date, direct all changes to the designated hotel. Cancellations made after February 1, 2008, will be charged a $25 processing fee. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will be subject to one night’s room and tax penalty at your confirmed hotel. Room Block Exceptions If you live within 80 miles of the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, you may choose the "In Room Block" rates.
